The Expo is on Wednesday March 19, 2014 from 7 - 10 pm, at Edison school in Westfield NJ. Sponsored by the Westfield Special Education PTC, it is in its 21st year and has showcased distinguished speakers ranging from highly acclaimed physicians to educators to attorneys who provide insight into a variety of issues that empower parents to help their children. The goal of the Awareness Expo always has been to educate the community at large about issues that impact our students and their ability to succeed. The Expo includes something for everyone and promises to be a rewarding and educational way to spend an evening learning about issues that impact school-age children.
Parents, teachers, professionals and all others are welcome to attend. 1.5 CPE credits/session are offered. In addition, the following vendors will be on hand at the Expo to share their contributions to the community:
- Children's Specialized Hospital
- Union County Department of Parks, Recreation for People with Disabilities
- New Jersey Coalition for Inclusive Education ("NJCIE")
- OCD NJ
